Because our candles are handmade in small batches, slight variations in colour may occur. That's part of what makes each Bent candle unique.

Please note: UV-reactive wax does not glow on its own in complete darkness. A UV/blacklight is required to create the fluorescent effect.

Under regular lighting, the wax has a bright, vibrant appearance. Turn on a UV/blacklight and watch the colour come alive, making the drips, splashes and patterns of wax stand out dramatically.

Changing the distance between the candle and the skin can change how the wax feels. Holding the candle higher allows the wax more time to cool before reaching the body, while moving closer can create a warmer and more intense sensation.

Want the full UV effect? Darken the room and position a UV/blacklight toward your play area.

Experiment with a single UV colour or combine different shades to create fluorescent trails, splashes and layered wax patterns.

The darker the environment, the more dramatic the fluorescent effect can appear.

Start slowly and experiment with a small amount of wax. Learn how your partner responds before moving to different areas of the body or increasing the intensity.

Before You Get Drippy

A little preparation makes cleanup much easier.

Place a plastic drop sheet, old towel or other protective covering underneath your play area before beginning.

Coloured wax may stain clothing, bedding and other fabrics, so protect anything you don't want decorated with evidence of your evening.

Wax Play Safety

Always test a small amount of wax on a sensitive but appropriate area of skin before beginning, such as the inside of the forearm.

Start from a greater distance and gradually move closer only when you know the temperature is comfortable for the person receiving the wax.

Keep communication open throughout your play and regularly check the skin and your partner's comfort level.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Keep the candle and flame away from hair, clothing, bedding and other flammable materials. Have a suitable method of extinguishing the candle nearby and make sure the flame is completely extinguished when you're finished.
